Cross Country Competes in University of Florida Mt. Dew Invitational

The Lady Indians traveled to Gainesville on Saturday to particpate in the University of Florida Mt. Dew Invitational. Chipola was the only junior college team at the meet competeing in the DII division.

The meet included 27 University and Colleges and fielded 265 female runners at the University of Florida golf course. The Lady Indians all improved their times from the first meet of the season and were led by freshman Nicole Morse. Morse finisehd 72 out of 144 with a time of 21:38. Other members of the Chipola team finished as follows: Soph. Lydia Wiedeman 94 of 144 @22:24; Soph. Jayde Smelcer, 119 of 144 @ 24:36; Freshman Katie Cox @ 27:08; and Soph. Hannah Rees @ 27:27. 

The Lady Indians host a home meet this Friday vs. Tallahassee at Citizen's Lodge Park at 5:00 PM CT.
