Dear Loyal Supporter,
It’s time for another year of Chipola Athletics!
At the starting line in September will be our Women's Cross Country team. Chipola Men's & Women's Basketball tips off in November and the Baseball & Softball will throw out the first pitch at the end of January. Of course, pulling the Indians through every tough battle is our Cheer squad.
It also means it is time for the annual Appreciation Club Membership Drive. In 2023-2024, we shattered our record of membership dues collected and we hope to go further in 2024-2025. Here are some of the things you can look forward to in this year's version of Chipola Athletics:
- The Ronnie Myers Appreciation Club Room in the Milton H. Johnson Center continues to look better and better. Walk through the history of Chipola Athletics as you enter. Relive the stories, the championships, and the faces that have built our legacy. It's possible if you are a part of that history, you may even see yourself on the walls or on the video display.
- The Lobby of the Milton H. Johnson Center displays our National and State Championships. Once someone enters the front doors of “The Milt,” Chipola Nation, and our guests, will fully understand the legacy of championships that has been established here. Our First Team NJCAA Basketball All-Americans are on display along with a section honoring legendary men's basketball coach, Milton Johnson. You can also check out Chipola's history of hosting, and winning, the State Basketball Tournament. Of course, our trophies from the Lady Indians' National and State Championships are on display next to the 18 Men's Basketball FCSAA Championship trophies. Chipola men have won the most state championships including Coach Donnie Tyndall's third title in the last four years.
- Our New text messaging service keeps you informed. You can receive text messages that will give you final scores, updates, special event notices, links to livestreams, and more! We have partnered with Vozzi, a company used by many professional and NCAA teams, so you can get final scores, special event notices, game changes/cancellations and more. Chipola is THE FIRST AND ONLY NJCAA ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT to use Vozzi. To enroll, be sure to include your cell number (and other numbers of family members) on your registration card. Or you can go to this link: https://getvozzi.com/opt-in/yazqv
- New faces leading programs. Former Chipola softball player and current assistant softball coach, Brianna Bailey, will lead the Chipola Women's Cross Country team. Former Chipola Cheerleader, Farren Amos, will head up the cheer squad along with a new assistant, Desarae Morgan. The Lady Indians Basketball team will be led by the program's 8th head coach, Mitchell Rolls. Coach Rolls comes to Chipola from Iowa Western Community College where in one season with the Reviers he coached the NJCAA D2 Player of the Year and finished 6th at the D2 National Tournament. Prior to that, Coach Rolls had a 159-66 in eight seasons at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kansas. In his last six seasons at Labette, his teams finished in the top ten.
- And of course, new players along with some of your favorites from a year ago. Each year a new crop of talented athletes represents Chipola Nation. These players, along with our veterans from a season ago, will be working hard to add to our many Panhandle, FCSAA, and NJCAA championships.
We continue to assist with scholarships and meals for our athletes as well as providing our coaches with the best tools to recruit and develop our players. Many of you also give to various projects and events above your membership dues to help our student-athletes. We greatly appreciate what everyone does to contribute to the Championship Legacy at Chipola College.

Please be sure you include all of the information so we can send you updates about games and events.
