Chipola Cross Country named All-American Academic Team

The Chipola College women's Cross Country Team has been named an NJCAA All-American Academic Team.

The award is presented to those teams with a minimum of 5 members who maintain a team, in-season GPA of 3.4 or better. All seven members of Chipola team qualified. Team awards were presented to Kimberly Wiltse of Altha, Donia Lanier of Wewahitchka, Karlee Floyd Malone, Sharlyn Smith of Altha, Natalya Miller of Wewahitchka, Kathryn Huffman of Marianna and Lauren Pettis of Marianna.

Individual All-American Academic awards also were presented to two Chipola runners who maintained above a 3.5 GPA for the season: freshman Kimberly Wiltse (4.0) and freshman Donia Lanier (3.5).

Chipola College has competed in Women's Cross Country since 2007. The squad made its first appearance in the NJCAA Division I National Championship in November, 2012.
