The Lady Indians (15-4) open the FCSAA State Tournament on Tuesday at 1 PM at Raider Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.

The #2 seed Chipola women will open with the #7 seed Hillsborough Community College, the runner-up in the Central Conference. 

The Lady Hawks are led by sophomore guard Holly Davies, who averages 14.9 points per game, and freshman guard. Darria Whitley. who averages 14.4 points per game.

The Lady Hawks (14-6), winners of nine of their last ten games, average 72.5 points per game and shoot 37.4 percent from the floor, including 34.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Chipola is led by a trio of sophomores that are averaging double figures: De'Myla Brown (19.5 ppg); Isadora Sousa (14.1 ppg); and Jordan McLaughlin (11.9 ppg).

The #7 nationally ranked Lady Indians average 70 points per game and shoot 44.2 percent from the floor and 35.8 percent from three-point range.

The two teams have not met since December 7, 2019 when Chipola defeated Hillsborough 87-56 in last season's FCSAA Shootout at the same site as today's contest, Raider Arena.
