Indians Defeated in Pensacola

The Indians fell 80-69 in tonight's game at Pensacola State. 

After a good defensive effort by Chipola in the first half, the Pirates got hot in the second and shot 56% from the field and 50% from three. Chipola shot 39% on the game and only 24% from three. The Indians also had 22 turnovers in the game, which has been their achilles heel all season. 

Lance Erving led Chipola in scoring with 17 points, including some big free throws (9-for-11) down the stretch as the Indians tried to close in on the lead. Marial Mading had 15 points and seven rebounds. Christian Lorng had 10 points and seven rebounds. David Pierce had 10 points. Lat Mayen had 12 rebounds. 

Chipola will play their final conference game of the year on Wednesday as they host Gulf Coast State at 7:30 p.m. They will celebrate Sophomore Night before the game.
