Chipola College Indians Varsity scores more runs than Florida SouthWestern, takes victory on Sunday to the tune of 6-3

In the first inning, Chipola College Indians Varsity got their offense started when Dylan Goldstein singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Chipola College Indians Varsity put up three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by Chipola College Indians Varsity was led by Corey Rosier and Chris Williams, all driving in runs in the inning.

Andrew Moore was the winning pitcher for Chipola College Indians Varsity. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over four innings, striking out five and walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Turner TomsJackson MinorDaniel Cerda, and Cameron Gray all securing outs and ultimately the victory. Cerda recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Chipola College Indians Varsity.

Mason Adams started the game for Florida SouthWestern. He went four and a third innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and striking out three. Robert WegilnikTy Burton, and Daniel Vos each contributed in relief for Florida SouthWestern.

Chipola moves to 8-1 on the season. They're back in action next weekend with one game in Dothan, AL and two games at home. On Saturday, February 15, they'll face Enterprise State at 9:45 a.m. in the Hits for Heroes event. They'll then travel back to Marianna for a 2:00 p.m. game vs. St. Pete. The'yll also face St. Pete on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
