Hillsborough Tops Indians, Forces Game Two

The Indians lost the lead late in an 8-3 defeat to Hillsborough on Wednesday. The game was tied at two with Hillsborough batting in the top of the seventh when Gomez singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

Hillsborough fired up the offense in the first inning, when Cadenas laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.

CHIPOLA Indians evened things up at two in the bottom of the sixth inning. CHIPOLA Indiansscored one run when Max Guzman singled.

After Hillsborough scored one run in the top of the fourth, CHIPOLA Indians answered with one of their own. CHIPOLA Indians then answered when Guzman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Hillsborough scored four runs in the ninth inning. Neo and DeJongh powered the big inning with RBIs.

Fernandez got the start for Hillsborough. He went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Andrew Grogan was on the pitcher's mound for CHIPOLA Indians. He surrendered eight runs on ten hits over nine innings, striking out four.

CHIPOLA Indians collected six hits on the day. Guzman and Morgan McCullough all collected multiple hits for CHIPOLA IndiansMcCullough and Guzman each collected two hits to lead CHIPOLA Indians.

Hillsborough had ten hits in the game. NeoAlejandro Gonzalez, and DeJongh all managed multiple hits for Hillsborough.

The loss forces game two with Hillsborough tomorrow at approximately 9:00 a.m. EST/8:00 a.m. CST according to the weather forcast.
