Big Third Inning Propels Indians Past Manatees

CHIPOLA Indians defeated State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota 10-3 on Tuesday thanks to seven runs in the third inning. The rally was led by a walk by Alex Webb, a sac fly by Edmond Americaan, an error on a ball put in play by Austin Bates, and a double by Julio Carrion.

CHIPOLA Indians opened up scoring in the first inning. Jared Howell singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

CHIPOLA Indians pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Webbdrew a walk, scoring one run, Carrion doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, an error scored two runs for CHIPOLA Indians, and Americaan's sac fly scored one run for CHIPOLA Indians.

Trevor Holloway pitched CHIPOLA Indians to victory. He lasted eight innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out 14. Christian Collazo threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Peto started the game for State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. He surrendered six runs on four hits over two innings, striking out five. LyleAlvarez-Montilla, and Kimsey each contributed in relief for State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota

State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota socked two home runs on the day. Moore had a long ball in the third inning. Pichman went deep in the second inning.

Morgan McCullough led CHIPOLA Indians with two hits in five at bats.

Shelby went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota in hits
