Bats Explode, Indians Win 17-5

Edmond Americaan was in the zone on Monday, tallying four hits and leading CHIPOLA Indians to a 17-5 win over Temple to advance at the NJCAA Juco World Series. Americaan singled in the first, singled in the second, homered in the third, and doubled in the fourth.

CHIPOLA Indians earned the victory despite allowing Temple to score four runs in the third inning. MacikLee, and Tucker each had RBIs in the frame.

In the first inning, CHIPOLA Indians got their offense started when Keesee induced Jared Howell to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored.

CHIPOLA Indians scored eight runs in the fourth inning. CHIPOLA Indians put the pressure on, lead by a walk by Jordan Hollins, a home run by Morgan McCullough, an error on a ball put in play by Alex Arauz, and a double by Americaan.

Jack Dellinger earned the victory on the hill for CHIPOLA Indians. He surrendered five runs on 12 hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Keesee led things off on the mound for Temple. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs while striking out one and walking zero. Baker and Mendivil entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

CHIPOLA Indians launched two home runs on the day. Americaan went for the long ball in the third inning. McCullough had a homer in the fourth inning.

CHIPOLA Indians racked up 12 hits in the game. AmericaanMcCullough, and Francisco Urbaez each managed multiple hits for CHIPOLA IndiansAmericaan led CHIPOLA Indianswith four hits in four at bats.

Temple collected 12 hits on the day. SpinnOrsak, and Lee each had multiple hits for Temple.

The Indians advance to play the loser of Southern Idaho/Iowa Western tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. MST/4:00 p.m. CST.
