MARIANNA, Fla. – With only two games left in Panhandle Conference play after tonight, the Chipola women and men find themselves needing wins when they travel to Pensacola for the last matchup of the season with the Pirates.

Live Stream for both games

The Lady Indians need a win over the Lady Pirates to bolster their postseason chances. Chipola and Pensacola are deadlocked in the conference standings with identical 4-5 records. Each team also has a win against the other in its home venue. A win tonight for the Lady Indians would keep them in the running for second place in the Panhandle and give them a 2-1 advantage over the Lady Indians for an at-large berth.

The #3 Indians are coming off of big wins last week over #8 Tallahassee and #20 Northwest Florida. Chipola moved up to #3 nationally and took over first place in the Panhandle Conference standings by one-half game. A win against the Pirates would give the Indians 26 wins, the most regular season wins since Coach Brendan Foley's 2018-19 team finished the regular season, 26-4. The Indians control their own destiny in the Panhandle Conference.

In other Panhandle action tonight, Northwest Florida hosts Tallahassee. The #20 Northwest Florida men need a win to stay in contention for a Panhandle Conference championship. The Tallahassee women are still looking for their first conference win of the season. The women start at 5:30 followed by the men at 7:30.
