With Northwest Florida comfortably in first place in the women's conference standings, the Lady Indians are fighting for the league's second bid to the FCSAA/Region VIII Tournament to be held next month. Chipola could still receive one of two at-large bids to the tournament but they would like to control their own destiny. Chipola is currently in third place, two games behind Gulf Coast and a half-game ahead of Pensacola State.

The men are locked in a three-team battle for first place in the conference standings with TCC holding a one game lead over the Indians and Northwest Florida. With a Chipola win tonight, and a Raiders' win at Gulf Coast, all three teams would be even at the top of the standings after two rounds of conference play.

In other league action tonight, the Northwest Florida men will be looking to avoid the upset on the road at Gulf Coast. Tip-off for that game is set for 7:30 in Panama City following a battle between the top two women's teams in the league. The #3 Raiders take on #7 Gulf Coast at 5:30. A Northwest Florida win would pretty much seal another conference title for the Raiders.
