The #5 Chipola Indians head to Rome, Georgia this weekend for two games at "The Corral" on the campus of Georgia Highlands College.
The Indians will face a familiar for, State College of Florida, on Saturday at 2 PM CST. Chipola split a pair of games last season with the Manatees, winning 81-71 at The Milt, before falling on the road, 69-66.
Chipola hasn't played since traveling to Melbourne last weekend for the FCSAA Shootout. On Friday night, the Indians lost their first game of the season to Eastern Florida State, 73-71, on a near half-court shot at the buzzer in overtime. On Saturday, Chipola defeated Santa Fe College, 74-69.
State College of Florida is 6-2 in 2021-22 and ranked #8 in the latest FCSAA/Region 8 poll. The Manatees also went 1-1 in the FSCAA Shootout in Melbourne, defeating Florida State College of Jacksonville, 86-51, before also losing a close one at the buzzer to Eastern Florida State, 71-69.
Indians will finish up their road on Sunday taking on the host team, Georgia Highlands. Chipola and the Chargers will tip-off at noon CST on Sunday.
