Dear Loyal Supporter,
2020-2021 presented new challenges for Chipola Athletics in these unprecedented times. Social distancing, temperature checks, and limited crowd capacity became the norm last spring for our sports. In spite of this move away from our routines, our Appreciation Club membership held strong thanks to the generous support of people like you. Our teams also showed their resilience, winning state championships in Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball, and Softball. We enter the 2021-2022 season with hopes of a return to some normalcy – strong support from all of our fans and more championships.
This year’s Appreciation Club Membership Drive has some exciting new changes for each level of membership. Along with tickets to every athletic event, each membership will receive Chipola Athletics apparel, recognition or advertisements in our Fall and Winter Media Guides, and a weekly email newsletter throughout our sports season from Chipola Athletics. We’ve also made some adjustments to the benefits of our corporate memberships including advertisements on signage, billboards, webcasts, and social media. You were so instrumental in continuing our Championship Legacy in 2020-2021, we updated our benefits to reward your loyalty and support. Our number one financial priority is to provide the resources needed to fund our student-athlete services and we need your support now more than ever.
All of our teams have started preparing for the upcoming season. Cross Country has already run their first race and will conclude their season at the Region VIII Tournament in October. The reigning state championship Men’s & Women’s Basketball teams will start their seasons on November 1. Both teams advanced to the Final Four at the NJCAA Tournament last season and will look to build on that success in 2022. Baseball, winners of three of the last four state championships, will return to the diamond on January 29 with the goal of returning to Grand Junction, Colorado and playing for a fourth national championship. Softball will be under new leadership this season as long-time assistant Kelly Brookins takes over. The Lady Indians will be looking to repeat as State Champions and make their seventh consecutive appearance at the NJCAA Tournament.
None of our success is possible without your financial support and we truly appreciate each of you.
