The Chipola College Cross Country team hosted a dual meet with Tallahassee Community College, Sept. 30, at Citizens Lodge in Marianna.

Chipola’s Nicole Morse won the race with a time of 20:16. Four Lady Indians finished in the top 10. Lydia Weideman was third with a 21:16. Jayde Smelcer was sixth with a 23:13.Hannah Redmond-Rees was 10th at 24:59. Katie Cox and Conner Melvin also scored for Chipola.

Tallahassee won the two-team meet with a score of 28 to Chipola’s 31. Cross Country scoring is calculated by adding the place finish of a team’s top five runners.

All Chipola runners improved their times from the first two meets of the season in Tallahassee and Gainesville.  The Lady Indians head to Orlando Oct. 8 for the Disney Cross Country Challenge.
