Wiedeman Joins Sister at Chipola

Lydia Wiedeman of Wakulla High School has signed a Cross Country Scholarship with Chipola College.

At Chipola, she will join her sister Margaret Wiedeman, who was the top runner for Chipola this season.

Lydia Wiedeman is the daughter of Lewis and Amy Wiedeman of Wakulla. She was captain of the Wakulla Cross Country Team which advanced to the 2014 Florida State Finals. In the 2015 FHSAA Regionals, she placed fourth in the 800 Meter race with a time of 2:23. Paul Hoover is the head Girls Track Coach and Cross Country Coach at Wakulla.

She also led the Wakulla Soccer team to an Elite 8 finish in Regionals.

Wiedeman is ranked ninth on the Wakulla High School Senior Class Honor Court. She is secretary of the Wakulla chapter of the National Honor Society and a member of the Engineering Academy. After Chipola, she plans transfer to a university to earn an engineering degree.
