PREVIEW: Lady Indians look for one more win before Christmas
Chipola will host South Georgia Tech at noon in their final game before Christmas break
MARIANNA, Fla. – The #11 Lady Indians have a little unfinished business before taking a break for Christmas. Chipola (13-0) will face one of its toughest challenges of the season thus far when it hosts South Georgia Tech (7-3) on Thursday at noon. Admission is free for Thursday's game and we will be joined at the Milt by area schools.

The Lady Indians made quick work of Southern Union on Wednesday night to continue their undefeated streak. Coach Mitch Rolls used ten players in the 109-53 win with no one getting much more than twenty minutes of playing time.
In spite of the limited action, five different Lady Indians came away with double digit outputs. Kanija Daniel led the way with 22 points, for her fifth 20+ point game of the season. Daniya McDonald poured in 19 points and Aniyah Ruddock had 17. The pair knocked down nine of Chipola's 15 three-point shots on the night. Joining the high-scoring trio in double digits was Alindria Dudley with 12 and Mekhila Brown with 11.

South Georgia Tech returns to The Milt for the first time in ten years. The Lady Indians defeated the Lady Jets twice last season, a 99-48 win in Americus followed by a 62-54 in Shelton State's Classic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
South Georgia Tech comes into today's meeting on a three-game win streak after winning a pair of games over the weekend in the Palm Beach State College Classic. The Lady Jets and Lady Indians have defeated a pair of common 2024-2025 opponents. South Georgia Tech defeated Southern Union, Chipola's opponent from Wednesday night, 73-48. The Lady Jets also took down Daytona State, 78-48, a team Chipola has defeated twice this season.
Chipola will participate in the Lady Jets Holiday Classic in Americus to close out 2024. The two teams will meet again on December 31, the final day of the classic.
- South Georgia Tech is led by Mio Sakano who averages 14.6 points per game. The sophomore guard has started all ten games for head coach Jason Carpenter. She is scored in double digits in her last six games and scored a season-high 23 points in a 70-67 loss to Cape Fear Community College on November 29.
- South Georgia Tech is averaging 71.5 ppg. Chipola is fourth in NJCAA D1 with 89.4 points per game.
