PREVIEW: #16 Lady Indians host Daytona State in Region VIII matchup
Chipola and the Falcons tip at 6 PM CST on Tuesday at The Milt
MARIANNA, Florida - The #16 Lady Indians (7-0) will face Region VIII opponent, Daytona State College, tonight at 6 PM in the Milton H. Johnson Center.
The two teams met up earlier in the season with Chipola taking out the Falcons, 97-66, at Gulf Coast State College's Richard Sanders Classic on November 8. In the first meeting between the two teams, Chipola used a strong second half to pull away from the Falcons. Daytona State hit eight three-pointers in the first half to keep the game close.

The Lady Indians won two games in Booneville, Mississippi at the Northeast Mississippi Community College Thanksgiving Classic on November 21-22 to improve to 7-0.
RANKINGS
The Lady Indians moved up one spot in the latest NJCAA Rankings to #16. Ten teams ahead of Chipola in the rankings have at least one loss. Chipola is joined in the Top 25 by Panhandle rivals #2 Northwest Florida and #9 Gulf Coast State College. The Lady Commodores fell out of the Top 5 after falling to Florida SouthWestern, 95-73, last Saturday on Gulf Coast's home floor.
Following Gulf Coast's loss, Chipola moved up to second in the latest FCSAA D1 Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll.

Daytona State comes in to tonight's game at 2-5. In their last game, the Falcons defeated East Georgia State College, 75-65, in Daytona.
The Falcons are averaging 67.1 points per game while allowing 79.4 points. They are led in scoring by freshman forward Destinie Gordon with 10.9 points an outing. Sophomore guard Brya Arroyo-Gillcrese led the Falcons in their last meeting with Chipola. Arroyo-Gillcrease scored 15 points including shooting 4-for-8 from three-point range.
