Chipola women will take on Bishop State Community College at 6 PM on Monday night
MOBILE, Alabama – The Lady Indians head to Mobile, Alabama to open the 2024-2025 season against Bishop State Community College. Both teams will be playing their first game of the season at 6 PM tonight from the Fredericka G. Evans Cultural Centre on the campus of Bishop State.

Mitch Rolls will lead his team into his first season as the head coach of the Lady Indians on Monday night. Rolls was hired in May after one season at Iowa Western Community College and eight seasons at Labette Community College, where he combined for a 192-70 record.
Sophomore Mehkila Brown, a 5'11 forward from Kelowna, British Columbia, is the only returning player from last season's 24-8 squad. Brown averaged 7.3 points/game and was third on the team in rebounds/game with 5.9.
Two players arrived in Marianna after playing a year for Coach Rolls at Iowa Western. Alindria Dudley, a sophomore guard from Kingsland, Georgia, played in all 37 games for the Reivers and averaged 8.9 ppg. Sophomore guard, McKenna Minter from Lincoln, Nebraska, averaged 20.2 ppg and was named the NJCAA D2 Player of the Year.
Bishop State is coming off a 19-11 season in 2023-2024. The Lady Wildcats finished third in the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) and fell two games short of a trip to the NJCAA D1 Tournament with a semifinal loss to Wallace-Hanceville in the South District Tournament.
Three players return from last season's Lady Wildcats' roster:
- Trinity Pulliam, forward from Clayton, Alabama, played in 28 of the team's 30 games a season ago and averaged 3.0 ppg and led the team in blocks per game with 1.3.
- Erin Perry, forward from Montgomery, Alabama, averaged 3.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 21 games played for the Lady Wildcats.
- Janiya Labyzon, forward from Mobile, Alabama, played in 27 games and averaged 5.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
