The 7-0 Chipola Lady Indians begin a five-game road trip on Saturday in Daytona Beach against the Lady Falcons of Daytona State College (3-1).

The Lady Indians remain #2 in both the NJCAA and FCSAA/Region 8 rankings but continue to sit atop the World Exposure Report Poll and Massey Ratings.

Chipola picked up two top 25 wins last weekend in the WER Invitational. On Friday night the Lady Indians won a hard fought 93-87 contest against #25 Seward County Community College. Coach Greg Franklin's squad followed that up on Saturday with a double-overtime, 101-98, win over #9 Georgia Highlands College.

Earlier this week, sophomore guard, Jordan McLaughlin, was named FCSAA Player of the Week. McLaughlin averaged 22.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 2.3 steals in the three games. On Friday, November 12, she dropped a career-high 37 points in the win against Seward County.

The Charlotte, NC, native leads the Lady Indians with 19.7 points per game. She is followed by sophomore, Ta'Shonna Wright-Gaskins, with 17.2 ppg.

Shcira Fowles has been a beast on the boards for Chipola. Fowles averages 12.0 rebounds per game while also averaging 9.7 ppg.

Daytona State has won three of their first four games this season including a 76-42 win over fellow Panhandle Conference team, Tallahassee Community College. Daytona's only loss was on the road at Indian River State College.
