#1 Lady Indians Extend Winning Streak to 7 Games
On Tuesday, the #1 Lady Indians (12-1, 9-1 PC) traveled to take on Tallahassee Community College (2-10, 1-9 PC). In the Panhandle conference matchup, Chipola dominated early as they went on to defeat the Lady Eagles, 69-40, extending their winning streak to 7 games. 
 
After a close first quarter that ended with Chipola ahead 14-10, the Lady Indians started the second quarter with a 12-0 run. Outscoring Tallahassee by 14 points to enter the half up 36-18. 
 
In the second half, Chipola continued to control the pace, taking their largest lead of the night (35 points) with 4 minutes left to play. Seven Lady Indians contributed to the scoring, taking the game 69-40. 
 
De'Myla Brown led all scorers on the night with 20 points. 
 
Jordan McLaughlin scored 17 points, her third consecutive game in double digits. 
 
Isadora Sousa ended the game with 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. 
 
The #1 Lady Indians will host #3 Northwest Florida State College this weekend in a nationally ranked matchup at 2 PM central.

  • Lady Indians had their best 3rd quarter of the season, outscoring Tallahassee by 31. 
  • Ifunanya Nwachukwu recorded 10 rebounds, her third game this season with double digit rebounds. 
  • Chipola controlled the boards, outrebounding Tallahassee 44-27.
