Lady Indians Remain Undefeated

The Chipola Lady Indians remain undefeated after facing Tallahassee Community College Tuesday night at home. Auteaonna Gilmore led the Lady Indians to a 64-58 victory with a game total of 19 points scored by the freshman from Fort Washington, Md.

The big twist in the match-up came when Chipola center Evelyn Akhator, who had had 17 points, 20 rebounds, 4 steals and three blocks in the game, was fouled out on a charge with less than two minutes to go. The Lady Indians were only up 58-51 at that point. But they hit enough free-throws after that to hang on.

This was the narrowest victory for the Lady Indians this season. The team  travels to Niceville Saturday to take on Northwest Florida at 5:30 p.m.
