FINAL FALL WEEKEND AT HOME FOR THE LADY INDIANS

MARIANNA, Florida - The Chipola Lady Indians will host high school travel programs from Florida and Alabama this weekend at the Chipola Softball Field. This will be the final home games of the fall for the Lady Indians. Chipola will travel to Jacksonville University on Friday, November 15, for their final fall outing of 2024.

Chipola will play a pair of games each day. With a schedule that in the fall that typically means a lot of travel to NCAA Division One or Two schools, hosting nearby high school travel teams allows the Lady Indians to play games in front of their fans on their home field.

Head coach Kelly Brookins also uses the weekend for recruiting. "These are some of the best travel ball teams in the southeast and it is always a good thing when you can get their players on our campus," Brookins said. "They not only get to see what junior college softball is about on the field but we also show them around our campus and give them a taste of what Chipola has to offer off the field."

Admission each day is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Chipola Appreciation Club members and Chipola students get in free.
