Lady Indians Split on Saturday

The Lady Indians split Saturday in Louisana. 

In game one, Chipola beat Blinn College 8-1. Brianna Bailey pitched seven innings and had six strikeouts. 

Haley Sandridge was 3-for-3 at the plate, Mikayla Lewin was 1-for-3 with three RBIs, Ava Worthy was 2-for-4 with one RBI, and Natalie Kopikova was 1-for-3 with one RBI.

In game two, the Lady Indians dropped their first game of the year, losing 9-7 to San Jacinto.

Kopikova was 2-for-5 with a triple and three stolen bases, Sandridge was 2-for-3 with one RBI and three stolen bases, Haley Eubanks was 1-for-4 with two RBIs, Worthy was 1-for-3, Jaylin Kindles was 2-for-4 with one RBI, Marissa Baxter was 1-for-3 and Kayla Hurley was 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Chipola will finish their trip with two games on Sunday. They'll face Iowa Western at 9:00 a.m. and McLennan College at 11:00 a.m.
