GAMEDAY PREVIEW: #14 Indians and Tallahassee State meet for the first time this season
Chipola will host the Eagles on Saturday night at The Milt for Homecoming
MARIANNA, Fla. – After snow and ice caused their first meeting to be postponed, the #14 Indians (18-5; 3-2) and Eagles (15-9; 1-5) will meet on Saturday night at 7:30 PM in the Milton H. Johnson Center.
Chipola suffered just their second loss at The Milt this season last Saturday night when the Panhandle Conference leader, Pensacola State defeated the Indians for the second time this season, 71-63. Sophomore Antonio Baker scored 20 points, his third 20+ output of the season, to lead the Indians.

The Eagles also dropped their last game, falling to Gulf Coast State College, 80-75, at home. TSC had defeated the Commodores earlier in the season in Panama City, 89-81. Although the Eagles have lost five of their six conference games, they have not lost to a Panhandle opponent by more than eight points.
Tallahassee is averaging 78.8 points per game and shooting 45.2% from the floor and 36.0% percent from three-point range. Julius Clark, a sophomore wing, leads the Eagles in scoring with an average of 16.0 points per game. The Tuscaloosa, Alabama native averaged 9.5 points in four meetings against the Indians last season.
GAME NOTES
- The Indians swept the regular season series with the Tallahassee in 2023-2024 and also ended the Eagles' season with a 73-68 win in the semifinals of the FCSAA/Region VIII Tournament in Niceville.
- In four seasons, Head Coach Donnie Tyndall is 9-5 against the Eagles. TSC's last win against Chipola was February 25, 2023 in Tallahassee. The Eagles defeated Chipola, 65-54, which caused the Indians to share the Panhandle Conference title with TSC and Northwest Florida.
