MARIANNA, Fla. – The Chipola Indians will host the Visit Jackson County Men's Basketball Tournament this weekend at the Milton H. Johnson Health Center. The tournament is sponsored by the Board of Jackson County Commissioners. Coach Donnie Tyndall and his #7 Indians will welcome Miami Dade College, Hinds Community College, and Panhandle Conference rival, Tallahassee Community College. Admission is $5 at the door. Games involving Chipola will also be available on pay-per-view basis. Links are provided below.

The Indians have jumped out to a 6-0 start in 2023-24 and have a home winning streak of 22 games which dates back to the final regular season of 2021-22. The Indians are ranked # 7 in the latest NJCAA Rankings, #6 in the Massey Ratings, and #3 in the FCSAA.

Under new head coach Corey Hendren, the Eagles are off to a 5-1 start in the 2023-24 season. The Eagles dropped their only loss of the season on the road at South Georgia Tech on November 6. TCC got its revenge on the Jets on November 20 with a 78-73 victory in over time. The Eagles are currently #22 in the Massey Ratings and #9 in the FCSAA.

The Sharks, coached by third year coach Jorge Fernandez, is 3-1 on the season with their only loss coming on the road at Palm Beach State College. The Sharks and the Indians last meeting was in the first round of the FCSAA/ Region VIII Tournament last season. Chipola edged out Miami Dade, 62-60, to eliminate the Sharks. Miami Dade is ranked 118 in the Massey Ratings.
