Men's basketball runs home win streak to seven

The Indians jumped out to a 19-6 lead in the first eight minutes of the game on Thursday night and never looked back as they went on to defeat the Palm State Beach College Panthers, 80-62. The win pushed the home winning streak at the Milton H. Johnson Center to seven which dates back to the end of last season.

The bench for the Indians scored 52 of the Indians total score with freshman Jo Smith leading the charge with 16 points. Two other players came off the bench to score in double figures - Kris Gardner (11) and Nae'Qwan Tomlin (11). Starter Lance Erving scored 11.

Chipola will play again on Saturday as they host FCSAA shootout games. The Indians will face Santa Fe College at 4 PM in the second of two games to be played at The Milt. Pensacola College will take on Polk State College prior to that at 1 PM. Due to social distancing measures in place, only members of the Chipola Appreciation Club are allowed to attend games.

From Coach Tyndall

"We overcame a poor offensive performance by being pretty solid defensively. I was glad to get the win but we have to get better taking care of the ball."
