Student-athletes representing Chipola College Baseball, Softball, and Cheerleading recently volunteered with the Miracle League in Dothan, AL.  An organization that provides children with mental and/or physical challenges an opportunity to play baseball as a team member, Chipola student-athletes partnered with regular Miracle League members for an uplifting night of baseball.

"Seeing the smiles on these kids face in Miracle League tonight is so touching," said Chipola Baseball player Taylor Lewis.  "I am so blessed to be able to put smiles on their faces." 

Several friendships and life-long memories were made as Chipola student-athletes interacted with participants and their families.  Sophomore softball player Lindsey Wurm added, "This is truly one of my favorite experiences while at Chipola." 

The community service project was organized and sponsored by the Chipola College Student-Athlete Advisory Council.  The council is comprised of representatives from each sport.  The council will be promoting a food drive for the month of November.
