Indians Win Game 1 at WS

Four runs batted in from Jose Caballero helped lead Chipola Indians (46-8) past Crowder 13-4 on Saturday. 

Caballero drove in runs on a home run in the second and a single in the fifth. An early lead helped propel the victory. Chipola scored on a single by Edmond Americaan and a home run by Jose Caballero in the second inning.

Crowder captured the lead in the second inning.  #3's sac fly scored one run for Crowder. Chipola took the lead for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Americaan singled off of #29, driving in two runs and Caballero homered off of #29, driving in three runs. Chipola Indians scored five runs in the fifth inning. Chipola scored on a single by Americaan, a single by Caballero, a single by Jacob Silverstein, and a double by Andrew Bechtold

Evan Steele (4-0) earned the win for Chipola Indians. He tossed six innings, allowing four runs, five hits, and striking out five. Home runs for Chipola came when Caballero homered in the second inning and Trey Dawson homered in the sixth inning. 

Chipola Indians collected 14 hits. AmericaanSilversteinCaballero, and Te'Kwaan Whyteeach collected multiple hits. Silverstein and Americaan each managed three hits to lead Chipola Indians

Chipola now plays San Jacinto in a winner's bracket game Monday at 2pm MST.
