Steele's Gem Leads Way vs. Miami Dade

Chipola (42-8) defeated Miami Dade 10-0 on Sunday in a winner's bracket game at the FCSAA State Tournament. 

Chipola grabbed an early lead on a groundout in the first inning.

Chipola scored four runs in the seventh inning to push the lead to 10-0. They scored the runs on a grand slam by Reynaldo Rivera.

Evan Steele (3-0) earned the win. He threw six innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and striking out 11. Robbie Knox pitched the seventh, striking out 2. 

Jose Caballero paced Chipola with two hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBI's in two at bats while walking 3 times.

The Indians play tomorrow in the winner's bracket game against Palm Beach State. First-pitch is set for 4pm EST.
