Chipola Indians (33-7, 13-3) defeated Wallace - Dothan 7-0 on Tuesday as five pitchers combined to throw a shutout.
Chipola took an early lead in the second inning. Jose Caballero's sac fly scored one run.
Chipola scored six runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Brody Wofford, a single by Edmond Americaan, a single by Caballero, and a single by Andrew Bechtold.
Bowden Francis (8-2) earned the win. He pitched four innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, striking out four, and walking one. Four relievers helped Chipola Indians close out the victory. Connor Hock threw two innings. Robbie Know struck out the side in his inning of work. Keving Craft and Andrew Grogran combined to throw the 8th and 9th.
Chipola had ten hits in the game. Caballero, Reynaldo Rivera, and Americaan each collected multiple hits.
