Indians Fall to Gulf Coast 9-5
Defensive miscues lead to 9-5 loss to Commodores.
Chipola (29-7, 10-3) fell to Gulf Coast State 9-5 Tuesday night.
Costly miscues in the first three innings led to Chipola's defeat to the Commodores. Gulf Coast scored 5 runs, 2 of which were earned.
Gulf Coast State took the lead for good with one run in the fifth inning. In the fifth Jeff Omohundro singled off of Bowden Francis, driving in one run.
Francis (7-2) took the loss for Chipola Indians. He went five innings, allowing six runs (2 ER), nine hits, striking out four, and walking one.
Chipola plays Gulf Coast Thursday night in Panama City. First-pitch scheduled for 5pm CST.
