Indians Lose Game 2 to NWF
Chipola plays Gulf Coast State next week in Panhandle action.
Chipola Indians (29-6, 10-2) and Northwest Florida State played a tight game, but Northwest Florida State pulled out the 10-6 victory on Friday. The game was tied at four with Northwest Florida State batting in the bottom of the fifth when Gabe Austin tripled off of Kevin Craft, driving in one run.
Northwest Florida State captured the lead in the second inning. Bryant Harris drove in one when he singled in the second inning.
Chipola scored three runs in the third inning.
Kevin Craft (0-1) took the loss. He threw one-third of an inning, allowing six runs, and four hits.
Junior Harding started the game. He tossed one inning, allowing two runs, two hits, and striking out one.
Trey Dawson, Jose Caballero, and Wofford each collected multiple hits. Dawson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Chipola.
