The Chipola Indians (20-8) beat Grand Rapids 10-0 in five innings on Wednesday at Chipola College after a six-run explosion in the first inning.

The Indians scored in the first on an RBI double by Wood Myers, an RBI single by Jay Estes, a wild pitch, , and a two-run single by Jacob Silverstein. 

Myers had two extra-base hits for the Chipola Indians. 

Ryan Shauger got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He pitched five shutout innings. Shauger struck out four, walked one and gave up four hits.

The Chipola Indians were sparked by Myers and Michael Hickman, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.

After posting two runs in the second, the Chipola Indians again scored two in the third. In the second, the Chipola Indians scored on a two-run home run by Michael Hickman, bringing home Myers.

Myers' double got things going, scoring Tyler Osik. That was followed up with a steal of home by Myers.
