Chipola places eight on All-Panhandle Conference Basketball Teams
Kanija Daniel named WBB Panhandle Conference Player of the Year; Donnie Tyndall named MBB Coach of the Year
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Panhandle Conference women's and men's basketball coaches announced their All-Conference Teams on Friday and Chipola was represented with eight total players.
The #4 Chipola Lady Indians tied the 2014-2015 NJCAA Championship team with the most regular season wins in school history, 27. The team finished a game out of first place in the Panhandle Conference and, after not being ranked in the preseason, the Lady Indians climbed to number one in the NJCAA Rankings for the week of February 24.
For their efforts this season, the conference coaches selected four members of the Lady Indians to the First and Second All-Conference Teams.
- Kanija Daniel, All-Conference First Team, battled through injuries throughout the season to play in 27 of the Lady Indians' 30 regular season games. The sophomore transfer from Georgia Southern University averaged 20.1 points per game to finish first in the FCSAA and sixth in the NJCAA. Daniel was also recognized by the coaches as the Panhandle Conference Player of the Year.
- Aniyah Ruddock, All-Conference First Team, played in all 30 games this season and made 28 starts. Ruddock, a sophomore transfer from St. Petersburg College, was a steady presence on the floor for the Lady Indians and finished the regular season third on the team in scoring with 10.7 points per game.
- Jailynn Brill, All-Conference Second Team, transferred to Chipola after playing a season at Western Kentucky University. Brill played in 23 games this season and started 21. She averaged 6.1 points per game and collected 6.2 rebounds per game.
- Daniyah McDonald, All-Conference Second Team, played in 24 games and started 13. The freshman was second on the team in scoring with 11.3 points per game and led the team in rebounding with 6.3 boards per game.
The #11 Indians won their fifth consecutive Panhandle Conference Championship and continued their streak of consecutive weeks appearing in the NJCAA Rankings. Since appearing in the Week Five Rankings on February 22, 2021, the Indians have held a spot in the top 25. (The 2020-21 season, Head Coach Donnie Tyndall's first season, was altered due to COVID and did not begin until January 20, 2021.)
Coach Tyndall also collected his fifth consecutive Panhandle Conference Coach of the Year.
The Panhandle Conference coaches selected four members of the 2024-2025 squad to the All-Conference First Team.
- Antonio Baker Jr., All-Conference First Team, played in 29 games this season and started 28. The sophomore guard finished second on the team in scoring at 11.7 points per game. He also collected 3.8 rebounds per game and handed out 3.0 assists per game.
- Trent Lincoln, All-Conference First Team, led the Indians in scoring, 11.8 points per game, and in assists, 4.9 per game. The freshman guard played in 29 games for the Indians and made 20 starts.
- Grace Aluma, All-Conference First Team, made seven starts in 24 games played for the Indians in 2024-2025. The sophomore guard averaged 8.2 points per game and brought in 4.3 rebounds per game.
- Justin Burns, All-Conference First Team, averaged 10.1 points per game and led the team in rebounds with 7.3 per game. His 56.3 field goal percentage was tops on the team among players who played in at least of the teams 30 games. The freshman forward played in 27 games and made 23 starts.
