Bio

Anthony Marks is in his first season as a member of Coach Jeff Johnson's staff.

Marks joins the Indians after spending five seasons as an assistant coach at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina under head coach Jim Chester. Prior to Gardner-Webb, Marks was an assistant coach at barton College in Wilson, North Carolina.

Marks played collegiately at Coastal Carolina University (2013-2016), leading the Chanticleers to their first NCAA Division I National Championship in 2016. Marks was a two-year starter in left and center field. In the National Championship season, Marks was the team's starting left fielder and leadoff hitter. In Omaha at the College World Series, Marks batted .387 (12-of-31) in eight games at the top of head coach Gary Gilmore's lineup. For his efforts, Marks was named to the All-CWS team.

Following his collegiate career, Marks signed a free agent deal with the San Francisco Giants organization, making it to Single-A with the Augusta GreenJackets.

Marks graduated from Coastal Carolina in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Communication.
