Dennan Morrow comes to Chipola from Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Before joining the Falcons' staff, he was at Barton Community College in Barton, Kan., where he posted success as both a player and assistant coach. Most recently, Morrow helped lead Barton CC to a 25-8 season record and an appearance in the final four of the Region VI Championships. Morrow also helped three Cougars on the 2016-17 squad earn spots at NCAA Division I programs and postseason honors, including two All-Region VI team selections. The Barton men’s basketball team also posted the highest team GPA in the Jayhawk conference with a 3.17.

A native of Larned, Kan., Morrow earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and master’s in academic advising from Kansas State University while also serving as a graduate assistant under coaches Frank Martin and Bruce Weber. During his time as a GA, Morrow and the Wildcats won the Big 12 Championship and made three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Prior to starting his coaching career, Morrow was a standout star for the Barton Cougars from 2008-2010. He holds the record for a single game three-point performance and helped lead the Cougars to the 2009 Jayhawk West title as a freshman. After leaving Barton, Morrow played one season at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., where he averaged just over nine points a game and earned NAIA Academic All-American honors.

"Dennan is a guy I knew I could bring in and wouldn't have to groom. He can take some stuff off my plate. He's extremely good at teaching on the court, has extensive recruiting ties, and is one of the top junior college assistants in the country. He's hit the ground running and has been a great addition."
