The 7-1 Chipola Indians returned to The Milt on Saturday night following a four-game road trip and upped their home win streak to twenty games with a 74-58 win over Southern Union from Wadley, Alabama.

Three Chipola players finished the game in double figures. Nae'Qwan Tomlin led the way with 14 points for the Indians followed by Carlos Lemus with 13 and Shay Davis with 11. Faizon Fields had another big night on the boards, hauling in 11 rebounds while contributing six points.

Ten minutes into the game, the Indians led by three, 23-20, and were having a tough time shaking the Bison. Chipola closed the half on a 20-2 run to take a 43-22 into the loccker room at the intermission.

In the second half, the Indians would extend their lead out to as many as 30 points. Ten of the thirteen Chipola players that played in the game contributed points to the effort as the large lead allowed head coach Donnie Tyndall the flexibility to give several guys valuable minutes.

"I thought we played pretty well the first half but was disappointed in our second half performance," said Coach Tyndall following the game. "We have to start to understand the importance of every single possession every single night and guys need to understand, that when they get their opportunity to play, they have to take advantage of it. As we get closer and closer to conference play, I have to shrink our rotation to a reasonable number of players and that will start happening in our upcoming games."

The Indians will back in action on Sunday at 2 PM as they take on FSCAA/Region VIII opponent, Miami-Dade College, at Raider Arena in Niceville. The Sharks lost in the first game at The Milt on Saturday, 78-56, to Northwest Florida.
