Chipola sophomore, Charity Bibbs, was named the Region VIII DI Softball Pitcher of the Week by the FCSAA on Tuesday.

On April 4, Bibbs pitched a one-hitter to defeat Gulf Coast State College, 4-1, and followed that with another complete game win against Pensacola State two days later.

Bibbs did not allow an earned run while scattering six hits and three walks in 14 innings of work in the two games. She struck out eight in the two games to run her season total to 96.
