2022 Chipola Baseball Fall Schedule
2022 Chipola Fall Classic Schedule - September 16 & 17
The 2023 Chipola Indians will get started this fall with an 18-game schedule that includes games with the four other schools from the Panhandle Conference.
Coach Jeff Johnson's squad will begin the season on Friday, September 9, with two familiar foes. The Indians will take on Northwest Florida and Gulf Coast in a pair of games hosted by Pensacola State. Chipola will take on the Raiders at 12:30 followed by the Commodores at 3:00 PM.
On Friday and Saturday, September 16 & 17, the Indians host the Chipola Fall Classic at Jeff Johnson Field. Chipola will face Gulf Coast at 10 AM on Friday and then play Pensacola later that day at 5 PM. The schedule for that weekend consists of four games on Friday followed by three games on Saturday. All four of the other Panhandle Conference schools will be in attendance along with Coastal Alabama - South and Wallace - Dothan. The Indians round out the weekend by hosting a pair of games at noon on Sunday, September 18, against Andrew College from Cuthbert, Georgia.
Chipola will play in the University of West Florida Fall JUCO Bonanza on Thursday, September 22 at Jim Spooner Field in Pensacola. The Indians face Gulf Coast followed by Lurleen B. Wallace Community College from Andalusia, Alabama beginning at 1:30 PM.
Following a home contest on Wednesday, September 28 with Tallahassee Community College, the Indians travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to play in the Elite Fall JUCO Classic. On Friday, September 30, Chipola takes on Coastal Alabama - North at 5:00 PM in Alex Box Stadium on the campus of Louisiana State University. The Indians wrap up the weekend at 10 AM on Saturday morning with another game at "The Box" against Delgado Community College.
The Indians travel to Tallahassee in another midweek contest on Wednesday, October 5. First pitch between Chipola and the Ealges is set for 3:00 PM central. The team will travel west the next day when they head to Bay Minette, Alabama to take on Jones College from Ellisville Mississippi at 3:00 PM followed by the homestanding Sun Chiefs from Coastal Alabama - South at 5:30 PM.
On Friday, October 14, the Indians head back to the University of West Florida to take on the NCAA D2 Argonauts at 3:00 PM. Mike Jeffcoat, head coach of the Argonauts, played two years at Chipola under former Indians' head coach Bobby Pierce.
Chipola wraps up its home portion of the fall schedule on Thursday, October 20 against Gulf Coast. A pair of games in Panama City on October 28 will complete the fall when the Indians battle Gulf Coast at 10 AM followed by Northwest Florida at 12:30.
