The #16 Lady Indians (7-1) will be in action this weekend at the Vist Dothan Invitational Tournament to be held at the Westgate Softball Complex in Dothan, Alabama.
Chipola play two games each day of the tournament beginning at 12:30 PM on Friday against Central Alabama Community College from Alexander City, Alabama. The Trojans are 4-2 and received votes in the NJCAA Preseason Poll.
At 3:00 on Friday, the Lady Indians will face Coastal Alabama-East from Brewton, Alabama. The Warhawks are 1-7 on the season.
On Saturday, Chipola will play another pair of Alabama teams starting with the Boll Weevills from Enteprise State (4-2) at 11:30 AM followed by Southern Union (1-2) from Wadley, Alabama at 2:00 PM.
On Sunday the Lady Indians will get started at 9 AM against Lake Land College (1-3) from Mattoon, Illinois. Chipola will wrap up play at 11 AM with Georgia Military College (3-2) out of Milledgeville, Georgia.
Other teams participating in the tournament: Northwest Florida,; Gulf Coast; Gordon State College.
