Lady Indians Split in Final Day of Courtney Miller Invitational

The Lady Indians split today in their games at the Courtney Miller Invitational in Sanford, Florida.

In game one, they beat St. Pete 8-0.

Brianna Bailey picked up the win on the mound, going all seven innings. She allowed seven hits and had eight strikeouts. 

Ava Worthy was 1-for-3 with one run and four RBIs. Haley Eubanks was 1-for-4 with one run. Alexus Johnson was 0-for-1 with one run. Mikayla Lewin was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Yana Islamova was 1-for-2 with one run. Marissa Baxter was 1-for-3 with one RBI. Natalie Kopikova was 1-for-3 with one run. 

In game two, Chipola fell 8-4 against Florida SouthWestern.

On the mound, Ashlyn Donner pitched three innings. She allowed seven hits and had two strikeouts. Sydni Garrett pitched 2.1 innings and allowed three hits. Yana Islamova pitched .2 innings and allowed no hits. 

Alexus Johnson was 1-for-4 with one run. Kayla Hurley was 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Tammie Lijbers was 1-for-4 with one RBI. Natalie Kopikova was 2-for-3 with one run. Jaylin Kindles was 1-for-1 with one run and two RBIs. 

The Lady Indians are 16-4 on the year. They’re back at home on Tuesday, February 25, as they host Santa Fe for a doubleheader starting at 4:00 p.m. CST.
