The Lady Indians kicked-off the Visit Dothan Invitational with an 8-7 win over Shelton State and a 2-1 win over Salt Lake on Friday.

In game one, Haley Sandridge was 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Haley Eubanks was 1-for-4 with three RBIs. Ava Worthy was 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs. Jaylin Kindles was 1-for-4 with one run. Kayla Hurley was 1-for-3 with one run.

On the mound, Marissa Baxter pitched four innings, allowing three hits with four strikeouts. Sydni Garrett pitched three innings, allowing five hits with four strikeouts. 

In game two, Alexus Johnson was 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Tammie Lijbers was 1-for-2 with one RBI. Kindles was 1-for-2 with one run. Worthy was 1-for 3, Mikayla Lewin was 1-for-3, Baxter was 1-for-3, and Thais Uyema was 1-for-1.

Brianna Bailey was the winning pitcher, going all seven innings. She allowed one hit and had 13 strikeouts.
