Indians Take Down Raiders

The Indians took down Northwest Florida State 79-51 in tonight's contest. 

Lat Mayen led the squad with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Kris Gardner had 14 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. Marial Mading had 13 points and five rebounds. Cheikh Faye had 12 points and four assists. Lance Erving had nine points and five assists. Ishan White had four points and six rebounds. 

Coach Brendan Foley thought this was his team's best effort of the season.

"I'm proud of the complete team effort we had tonight," he said. "I thought it was the first full game we've played this season. We competed for all 40 minutes."

Chipola had 22 assists on 28 shots in the game. 

"I was really happy with how we shared the ball," said Foley. "Kris Gardner really stepped up tonight and did a phenomenal job running the team."

Mayen was the leading scorer for the Indians for the second-straight game and dominated on the boards. 

"Lat had another big game tonight and I'm proud of how he's stepping into that role and hope he keeps it going," Foley continued. 

 

Chipola is back in action in Pensacola on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CST.
