Indians Fall to Monroe for Second Loss of the Season

The Indians fell to Monroe College tonight with a final score of 86-85.

Chipola was down early, but came back to tie the game at halftime. In the second half, the teams traded turns taking the lead, but Monroe came out victorious as the buzzer sounded.

Jahshire Hardnett led the Indians with 20 points. Deyshawn Martin and Eric Cobb each added 12 points and Yuat Alok had 11.

"It's always a tough pill to swallow losing at home," said Coach Bret Campbell. "I thought our guys fought hard, but came up short. A lot of credit has to go to Monroe and Coach Brustad for their win."

This is the Indians second loss on the season and moves them to 13-2.

They will be back in action tomorrow at home at 3PM vs. Jefferson in the final day of the Beef 'O' Brady's Classic. Fans can get in free when they bring and unwrapped toy for the Chipola Athletics Toy Drive.
