Walk-Off Winner for Indians over NWF

A walk-off single from Jose Caballero brought home the winning run for Chipola (35-10) in a 6-5 victory over Northwest Florida State at Chipola College on Friday.

Caballero racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Chipola Indians. He singled in the first, fifth, and ninth innings.

Reynaldo Rivera was solid at the plate for the Chipola Indians. Rivera went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second, sixth, and ninth innings.

Ryan Shauger recorded the win for the Chipola Indians. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. Shauger struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

The bottom of the second saw the Chipola Indians take an early lead, 2-0. A single by Rivera, bringing home Maurice Cooley started the inning off. More runs came home for the Chipola Indians when Rivera scored on an RBI single by Keiner Colmenarez.

Bowden Francis started for Chipola. He went 5 innings allowing 3 ER with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. Addison Reed threw 3 innings in relief, striking out 4 while allowing 1 H and 1 ER. 

Chipola is on the road tomorrow at NWF. First-pitch at 1pm CST.
