Caballero Leads Offensive Attack

The Chipola Indians (19-8) jumped out to an early lead on Grand Rapids and captured a 13-3 victory on Tuesday at Chipola College.

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Indians left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run double by Michael Hickman and a two-run double by Myles Edwards in the first inning and a wild pitch during the second inning helped the Chipola Indians put some runs on the board early.

Hudson Graham got the win for the Chipola Indians. He allowed three runs over four innings. Graham struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits.

The Chipola Indians answered Grand Rapids' top inning with one run of their own in the second.

The Indians added three more runs in the bottom of the third. The inning looked promising, as Caballero tripled, plating Ty Russ to kick things off. That was followed up by Jacob Silverstein's single, scoring Caballero.

It didn't take long for the Chipola Indians to respond as they scored five runs of their own in the fourth. The Chipola Indians scored on an RBI double by Michael Hickman and a grand slam by Caballero.
