Chipola Swings Way to Sunday Win

The Chipola Indians (17-8) beat State College of Florida 13-4 on Sunday at State College of Florida after a seven-run explosion in the first inning.

The Chipola Indians scored in the first on an RBI single by Jay Estes, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Myles Edwards, a walk by Jose Caballero, an RBI single by Te'Kwaan Whyte, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Wood Myers.

Keiner Colmenarez, 4-6, had two extra-base hits for the Chipola Indians.

Brady Acker got the win for the Chipola Indians. He allowed two runs over four innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Jay Estes, Myers, Colmenarez and Edwards helped lead the Chipola Indians. They combined for 13 hits and seven RBIs.

The Chipola Indians added three more runs in the top of the third. Myers kicked things off with a single, bringing home Jacob Silverstein.
