Five-run Fifth Leads Indians over Darton State, 8-0

A five-run explosion in the fifth inning carried the Chipola Indians to an 8-0 win in seven innings over Darton State at Chipola College on Saturday.
The Chipola Indians scored in the fifth on an RBI double by Wood Myers, a two-run single by Reynaldo Rivera, and a two-run home run by Maurice Cooley.
Michael Hickman racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Chipola Indians. He homered in the first inning to put Chipola ahead 3-0.
Bowden Francis kept Darton State off the board during his 5 2/3 innings of work. Francis allowed five hits, no walks and struck out seven.
