Chipola Wins Fifth Straight

Jay Estes went 1-2, helping the Chipola Indians to a 4-1 victory over Florence on Saturday at Palatka, FL.

He doubled in the fifth inning.

Addison Reed's five strikeouts were enough to push the Chipola Indians past Florence. Reed collected his first win of the year. He allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over six innings.

Chipola Indians closer Kevin Craft put away the final three outs to record his first save of the year.

The Indians never trailed after scoring one run in the second on an RBI single by Keiner Colmenarez.

The Chipola Indians added three more runs in the top of the fifth. A sacrifice fly scored Wood Myers to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Maurice Cooley's single, scoring Estes.

Florence scored its only run of the game on an RBI double by Tre'von Dorsey in the sixth inning.
