The top of the first saw Miami Dade take an early lead, 3-0. Jackie Urbaez singled to start things off before Santiago Espinal singled, bringing home Urbaez. Miami Dade pushed 2 more runs across when Bec and Medina scored on a two-run single by Kevin Santiago.

The Indians fought back scoring 1 in the 3rd inning on a Jacob Silverstein double to centerfield which scored Te'kwaan Whyte. 

Chipola scored 2 more in the 6th with 2 outs and nobody on. Wood Myers doubled with 2 outs, and Jay Estes walked. Michael Hickman proceeded to hit a double scoring Myers and advancing Estes to 3rd base. Estes scored on a passed ball the very next pitch.

In the bottom of the 7th, Maurice Cooley drove in the go-ahead run to give Chipola a 4-3 lead. The Indians loaded the bases with 1 out, but were only able to muster 1 run on a Jay Estes walk with 2 outs. 

Miami Dade scored one run in the eighth on an RBI single by Christopher Medina. Still, Miami Dade couldn't catch the Indians. Chipola would not relinquish the lead as Reese Cooley gunned down the tying run at the plate on a sacrifice fly to right. 

Brady Acker started for Chipola. He allowed 3 runs in 4 innings of work. 

Jackson Bellenkes got the win in relief for the Chipola Indians. Bellenkes pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed one run. 

Riley Cabral collected his first save of the season.
